We analyze on year-over-year and month-over-month new home sales trends, combined with community count changes, and calls out current drivers and differences by buyer segment.
We compare single-family starts trends year-over-year and month-over-month and addresses shifts in builders’ strategies that impact starts rates, in addition to comparisons to the Census Bureau’s releases.
The direction of prices month-over-month captures shifts in builders’ pricing power, while the change in prices year-over-year demonstrates the scale of price appreciation.
